“Salsa Verde? What is that Salsa Friday?” -me, just now, only half joking
People never want to believe me when I say I never learned the Spanish language considering the fact that my mother is Cuban and my family spoke it all the time.
For the record, I was immediately corrected by my fair-skinned, caucasion friend, that ‘salsa verde’ actually translates to ‘green salsa’ and ‘Friday’ is ‘Viernes.’
